Lacing on stage - Acte 1

Exhibit at Caudry lace museum

Du Vendredi 25 oct 2019 au Mardi 07 avr

The "Lacing on stage" exhibition shows the use of laces, embroideries and other fabrics in arts performances - opera, circus, etc. - while focusing on the various subjects inspiring contemporary design creation.

Through the presentation of sketches and costumes from the Opera de Paris, with Christian Lacroix for the "Songe d'une Nuit d'été", of stage clothes at the Moulin Rouge, of designs from Franck Sorbier and "On aura tout vu", the exhibit highlights the ties between lacing (and/or embroidery) and the stage performances. It reveals the influence of those on the Haute Couture.

Dentelles en scène will be split in two acts with the complete renewal of the items displayed in April 2020.

Rates: 3€ / Free for children under 16 y.o. under adult supervision.
