Let's come and admire the magnificent costums used on stage at Caudry lacing museum!
The second act of the exhibit "Lacing on stage" shows the use of laces, embroideries and other fabrics in arts performances - opera, circus, etc. - while focusing on the various subjects inspiring contemporary design creation.
Through the presentation of sketches and costumes from the Opera de Paris, with Christian Lacroix for the "Songe d'une Nuit d'été", of stage clothes at the Moulin Rouge, of designs from Franck Sorbier and "On aura tout vu", the exhibit highlights the ties between lacing (and/or embroidery) and the stage performances. It reveals the influence of those on the Haute Couture.
