Saint-Aubert at Cambrai Museum

Paintings by Saint Aubert are displayed at the Fine Arts Museum of Cambrai

Du Samedi 22 avr au Dimanche 20 août

The exhibit, dedicated to the eighteenth century painter from Cambrai, Antoine-François Saint Aubert (1715-1788), is the opportunity of a close partnership with the lace and embroidery museum at Caudry.

The museum proposed to the clothes designer, Philippe Deverdieu, to create dresses inspired by this artist.

Facing the old pieces of art and integrating perfectly the collections, those dresses, suit and coat, add a real touch of modern poetry, remaining faithful to Saint Aubert's rocky universe: daily life scenes in Cambrai, witchcraft, mischief and opera in fashion.
